Carmen Murillo, a longtime resident of New York City, died on January 4, 2015. She was 89.

Mrs. Murillo was born on June 1, 1925 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Nicolas and Zenaida (Vega) Jimenez. She is survived by her husband Ariel Murillo; her sons, Jose Murillo and his wife Esther, Ismael Murillo, George Murillo and his wife Evelyn, and Robert Murillo and his wife Nilsa; her daughter, Margaret Murillo; her grandchildren, Ashley Murillo, Jorge Laboy, Adrianna Murillo, Nicholas Murillo, and Anthony Murillo; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the staff of Northern Manhattan Nursing Home for their loving care throughout her stay there.

Visiting will be Thursday 4-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday 10:15am at Our Lady of Solace Church. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery.
