Frank Sprovieri, a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida and formerly of the Bronx, died on September 17, 2015. He was 85.

Mr. Sprovieri was born on May 16, 1930 in the Bronx to the late Frank and Filomena (Miro) Sprovieri. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1948 and afterwards served in the US Army. In 1955 he married Corinne Mastrangelo. Together they had four children. In 1976 he married Phyllis Ventura where they lived in his childhood home on Paulding Avenue for over 25 years. She died in 2002. For many years he worked in the food industry, owning and operating Frank's Deli on Morris Park Avenue. After retirement he lived with his companion Dolores Capizzi for over ten years making their home in Florida.

He is survived by his children, Linda Bavaro and her husband Angelo, Laurie Pesce and her husband Leonard, Lana Magro and her husband Alfonso, and Lawrence Sprovieri and his wife Laura; his grandchildren, Lana Simmonds and her husband Gary, Michael Magro and his wife Jill, Christopher Bavaro and his wife Gerel, Daniel Magro and his wife Kathleen, Samantha Magro, Larry Sprovieri, Jamie Sprovieri, Derek Pesce, Simone Pesce, and Valerie Sprovieri; and his great-grandchildren, John Hopkins, Jason Hopkins, Lana Bavaro, Joseph Bavaro, and Ava Magro.

Visiting will be Monday 4-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 9:45am at St. Clares Church. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
