Hilda Matos, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on December 10, 2015. She was 92.

Mrs. Matos was born on April 4, 1923 in Puerto Rico to the late Ramon and Julia (Vazquez) Gomez. She is pre-deceased by her husband Hector and her children Luz, John, and Michael.

She is survived by her children, Hilda, Hector, Raymond, Julia, Henry, Elizabeth, Jesus, and Joseph; her grandchildren, Elena Hernandez-Hay, Nicole Matos-Juarbe, and Celeste Hernandez; her great-grandchildren, Julian Juarbe, Julia Hay, and Tyler Hay; her sisters, Maria Alvarez and Blacina Nieves; and her brother-in-law, Roberto Matos.

Visiting will be Sunday 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10am at St. Lucy's Church. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery.
