Rose A. Filkins, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, died on February 15, 2014. She was 54.

Mrs. Filkins was born on April 30, 1959 in the Bronx to Lucy (Palleschi) and the late Antonio Tarallo. On January 28, 1989 she married David T. Filkins. For many years she worked as a teachers' aide and librarian at St. Helena's School in the Bronx.

In addition to her husband David Filkins and her mother Lucy Tarallo she is survived by her son David Filkins, Jr.; her brothers, Anthony Tarallo and his wife Kathryn and Michael Tarallo and his wife Christine; her nephews, Anthony Tarallo, Jr. and Michael Tarallo, Jr.; and her nieces, Gina and Angela Tarallo.

Visiting will be Tuesday 2-5 & 7-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 9:30am at St. Helena's Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
